Train and bus movement restored on Araku ghat area after landslide
VISAKHAPATNAM: In a remarkable feat, the Waltair Railway Division promptly restored the KK line within 24 hours following a landslide caused by heavy rains. The authorities deployed accident relief trains from Vizag, Koraput, and Araku to clear boulders that disrupted train services. While bus movement was also restored by removing fallen trees on the road, tourist spots, including Borra Caves, were closed temporarily. Despite challenging conditions, the railway authorities successfully resumed services, ensuring the safety and convenience of passengers.
